I found this story to be very refreshing, in that Dominic was so patient, and not borderline insane with the need to turn Solange fully Carpathian… I 4.
Trees hung over the swollen banks of the river, their root systems great gnarled cages, the thick tendrils snaking over the ground to create waves of wooden fins. They were wild and bad-tempered, never able to settle. This was such a nice change from the absolutely beautiful women I usually read ab I had taken a Carpathian break for awhile because I stopped liking them as much and I was crazy about these books when I began reading them.
The men use the women like breeding stock and kill any jaguar people that can’t fully shift, which has led peirl race to the edge of extinction.
